The Fifth High-Level Think Tanks Symposium of China and Central and Eastern European Countries
Dear think tank representatives, scholars and related representatives:
We are glad to inform you that the Fifth High-Level Think Tanks Symposium of China and Central and Eastern Europeans countries will take place from 17th - 18th September in Skopje, Republic of Macedonia. This year, the Symposium will be co-organized by the Institute for Geostrategic Research and Foreign Policy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Macedonia, Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts (MANU), Institute of European Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) and the Secretariat for Cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European Countries.
Following the Budapest Guidelines, this Symposium aims at promoting communication and exchange between the think tanks of China and CEEC, and further deepening the “16+1 Cooperation”. The symposium (concept paper attached) will include four panel sessions spread across two days. The panel themes are as follows:
· Panel 1. Strengthening the communication of policies and development strategies between China and CEEC
· Panel 2. Expanding the scale of trade, investment, financial, agriculture and infrastructure cooperation between China and CEEC
· Panel 3. Enhancing China-EU cooperation on the platform of "16 + 1 cooperation"
· Panel 4. Deepening sub-regional cooperation between China and CEEC
We now issue this call for papers for think tank experts and scholars. The deadline for submitting abstracts (400 words) isJuly 15th. The abstracts should be sent to the following two e-mail addresses:firstname.lastname@example.org and email@example.com. In addition to your abstract, please state your preference for the panel, and your affiliation. The outcome of the decision process will be communicated to the applicants byAugust 1st .
The deadline for submitting the full paper will be September 1st. Papers requirements: 3000-5000 words length in English, rigorously structured, clearly arranged and with strong arguments. Innovative themes and contents are favored. Authors should only submit original work that has not been published before and is not under submission to any other venue.
In view of the outstanding contribution of your institution and yourself in the area of China-CEEC cooperation and the “Belt and Road” Initiative, we invite you to submit an abstract.
Those papers which have been approved by peer review will be invited to attend the Symposium, and their international travel expenses, as we well as food and accommodation in Skopje, will be covered.
